For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. Matthew 16:25
There are Christians today who have known the Lord for many years but are facing spiritual stagnation. They are asking, "What is wrong? I have been a Christian for so long yet I see no progress in my walk with the Lord".

What is wrong is that if you keep on receiving without giving, you will be clogged up. For a living system to thrive, it must be able to both take in and give out. Each one of us needs an outlet for our inlet. If you don't have an outlet for what you are taking in, then you will stagnate; The treasures of God were designed not to be hoarded, but to be shared. And the more you give, the more you receive. It is a principle that applies to money, love, joy, hope and all the other blessings of God in our lives.
The Lord said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive". The blessing of being a blessing is the blessing of all blessings. If you want to really enjoy all the blessings that the Lord has given you, then you must find an outlet for your blessings to flow to others. When it comes to generosity, we often think of money. But there are other more valuable things we can give others: service, honour, respect, forgiveness, appreciation, opportunity, and the list goes on and on. If you want a life that is rich, then give out.
The teaching of Jesus is, "If you want to find life, give, serve, deny yourself." This means we stop focusing on ourselves and start thinking about other people and their welfare.
